Happy March Everyone!

This is the most important month of the year for the AFSG! This is the month of the year we can make a big difference in the lives of our military men, women and their families and you can make your most important impact!

First, you can contact Fred Rucki, fredrucki@msn.com, 623-566-6119 to sell raffle tickets. We have few remaining openings for shot guns.

Second, you can also volunteer to sell tickets this Friday, March 6, at the Super Demo Day at Desert Springs, 9 AM - 11 AM is taken, but still need some help from 11 AM - 1 PM, and 1 PM - 3 PM.

Third, we still need a raffle ticket sales help on Saturday, the day of the tournament at Granite Falls South and Desert Springs from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM tee off time. To volunteer for this position, contact Tom Trovato, tomntrovato@yahoo.ocm, 623-523-340.

Four, we will need registration help at both courses to check in golfers and hand out golfer gift bags at registration table. Please arrive by 10:30 AM.

Lastly, sign up to play in the event! All the above volunteer positions can be filled by people playing in the event and we need more players to register at Granite Falls Pro Shop!

This is it, please step up and contact any of the above people or myself, Barry Curseaden, curseaden@aol.com, 623-398-5242 to volunteer. Do it ASAP before you forget.

Guest Speaker: Barbara Hatch, Founder Veterans Heritage Project

This is a special program where you will volunteer to be interviewed about your military experience, recorded in a hard bound book that will be kept in the Library of Congress.

A great program to keep our Veteran’s stories alive for future generations!

* Great turnout at Veterans Coffee Chat on February 11, 2020 for Commander Dennis Bash speaking about the Hospice Veterans program Salutes. Seen below: Commander Dennis Bash, Hospice, Dan Swafford, AFSG Veterans Benefit Coordinator, and Ennis Miller, WW II, Korea and Vietnam Veteran!

* We also had a great turnout for our February 11, 2020 AFSG Membership Meeting at the Cimarron Center. A great presentation by Lt. Col. Matt “Hail” Cesar, F-35 pilot/instructor from Luke Air Force Base. Lt. Col. Cesar even brought along some of his flight equipment including the $500,000 helmet!
