Happy

March Everyone,

How does time fly bye so quickly as we get older? Needless to say, we are closing in on our major 2019 Wounded Veteran fundraising event on March 8 9.

Please look at the volunteer information below and donate one hour to selling raffle tickets. Also if you have not signed up to play please do so ASAP at the Granite Falls Pro Shop. The inclement weather has not been our friend for golf signups or raffle ticket sales so we really want to make a strong push in the short ti me remaining!

Honor Flight AZ Dedicates April Flight to AFSG

When Honor Flight AZ spoke at our Membership Meeting in February they made a very special announcement. Because of AFSG’s continued support o f Honor Flight AZ over the years, they are dedicating an entire flight under the AFSG name! We will keep you posted as more information is made available to us regarding date, time and place.

We are hopeful that some of our membership will be present to s ee these WW II Veterans off from Sky Harbor Airport or be able to welcome them back when they return. This is a very special opportunity for you to

recognize these Veteran heroes as they go to visit their WW II Monument in Washington, D.C.

Membership Up date

We are very happy to announce that we have over 100 paid members! This is very important because it allows us to keep our SCG Charter Club status. Well done!

Your $10 membership dues is much appreciated and important in maintaining our AFSG Charter Club status. However, your $10 dues money does not go to support any of our Veterans Support Foundations. This is

because of HOA rules that prohibit us from using Club dues money on charitable donations.

This is why it is so important for our members to support our Annual Wounded Veterans Event by purchasing raffle tickets, or just as importantly donating your time to help sell raffle tickets (sign up link listed above), with registration at golf event, setting up our courses, monitoring a par 3 hole.

Your monetary support is very important, but there is no price value on your time because it is priceless!
