AFSG Newsletter

December 2022

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and a Happy and Healthy New Year to you, your family and our Military families!
Seasons Greetings!

We hope this Newsletter finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy! As we look forward to our 2023 AFSG year I would like to take a brief look at our accomplishments in 2022.

2022 has been another very successful and meaningful year for the AFSG Charter Club.

-Our 2 membership meetings in 2022, had a guest speaker from Luke AFB Airmen and Family Assistance Program and The Veterans Heritage Project.

- Social at the Palm Center

- Veterans Coffee Chat Program

- 2022 Annual Veterans Event Fundraiser contributed over $56,000 in donations!

- More members are stepping forward and becoming more involved in supporting our clubs mission!

We are looking forward to increasing the number of socials this coming year and providing more information/communication on how you can help with our events! Your involvement is your new Boards inspiration!

FYI - Our November Membership Meeting was one of the best attended meetings we have ever had with over 60 in attendance!

Thanks to the many members who filled out our Volunteer Opportunity forms. We will be in contact after the holidays.

Our Membership Meeting speaker was Joe Brett representing the Veterans Heritage Project.

Veterans Heritage Project Mission - Connecting Students with Veterans has led to 100% of student authors graduating, 95% pursing college, a quarter of veterans telling their story for the first time, and two-thirds of veterans finding the process cathartic.

The Board has approved a $250 donation to the VHP for their continuing great work connecting students with our Veterans!

Christmas Donation

The AFSG Board of Directors has also voted to donate $250 worth of gift cards to Lukes “Operation Warm Hearts Program”. These gift cars will go directly to Luke AFB families in need.

Please remember that our membership dues will increase as of January 1, 2023. Single membership $20, $30 for two. We currently have 94 members paid and need 100 to maintain our Charter Club status. Please make your checks out and mail to:
