Join the Board!

AFSG Elections will happen at our February membership meeting and there will be two openings on the Board. In an effort to encourage members to run for the Board, I have asked each current Board member to write in their own words why they choose to serve on the Board. Below is Treedah Magee's reason.

"When I was a little girl, I remember my Uncle Bill going away. My mother said to serve our country. The sad part was my Uncle Bill never came back alive. As small as I was, to this day, I still remember his funeral, the whole town came out to honor him. I will never forget my uncle Bill and how brave I thought he was. When Barry asked me to write a short item as to why I, a non-veteran, serve on the AFSG board, I had no problem answering him, as I realized the sacrifices all our veterans and their families made for our country. I would like to ask all veteran or non-veterans to join our group and help us in our mission to help our vets and their families and have a lot of fun while you’re at it. We have fun social nights, great speakers at our monthly Coffee Chats and just plain enjoy the fun of being together." Please remember: “All gave some - some gave all.” Treedah Magee

Thank you Treedah! Please get those dues in!
